The “Vará del pescao” is a seafaring procession and is celebrated in honor of the fishermen of the area.
Apparently, every time the sailors arrived from fishing to the avenue of Los Pescadores, they called the neighbors by means of conches to come and see the fresh product so that they could buy it.
The procession is marked by a boat in which sardines are roasted to share with everyone who accompanies them dancing.
The route leaves from Risco Verde and runs along the entire avenue of Arinaga. Along the beach small groups of friends and families are formed where they dance and share food and drink.
